Very interesting textures. I like your generous use of the letter "x" since it can represent so many things. Roman numeral 10, unknown quantity, "x" marks the spot, power of magnification, etc. Oh, someone's signature! Lots and lots of things. This afternoon feels like a day to apply lots of paint layers to heavy duty paper. - Jeanne

Excellent pieces as always Seth.
I love how you mix different textures, words, colours and images all together and make everything look so harmonious. I'm afraid my attempt at this would end up looking like a mish mash of mess!

I am going to re-name you "King of dry transfers"...I never find anything like this when I shop...fantastic!

I do love the stories your art tells. Sophisticated. Perhaps that is the right word to best describe your art. There is just something about it...that really grabs me.

To borrow the word from Lynn, love your "Sophisticated" grunge with that certain "edge". It makes you want to keep going back to look and look- at your Layers, Textures, Letters, Symbols, Blues and of course- Sophisticated Grunge!

these remind me of 'unintentional' graffiti - the kind left behind after posters and signs have had time in the elements - well, much like your disintegration project.

The colors and textures meld so well together, I love the grunge....more power to you and the grunge.

Can you come to my house and:
"a-SETH-ne-tize" the front door?....
your work would look perfect there.

Lisa has a brilliant idea! your techniques on a front door would be incredible! I especially like "Sign of the Times" - no surprise it's already been snapped up. :)

Re your comment about my journal cover. Coming from you Seth, that means the world! Thanks buddy! How is the urban guerilla warfare going out on the streets of NY? How many trees have you knitted up now? I wonder how that would go down here in New Zealand? Loving ALL of your postings - such an inspiration!! Must do another doco on you, lol!

Just had to say again how special it is to be the keeper of your "Sign of the Times". It is an awesome thrill to see it up close and hold it. I feel so lucky to have a piece of your distinctive art Seth! oxo

LOOOOOVE these! You are a master of textures and grunge! OK, I'm gonna pull out some thick paper and go to town - although I don't have that special "Seth" style!

Kudos!
